I love being a teacher and very much appreciate the opportunity I have to prepare Heavenly Father’s children to fulfill the special mission each one of them has. I try to help each of my students strive to do the very best they can and care about their own spiritual and academic success as much as I do. I include Heavenly Father’s principles in my class through the lessons that I teach and the rules and procedures we follow. I like to keep an organized classroom with structure where the kids can feel comfortable and at ease. At the same time, I love to make things fun and exciting with interactive lessons where the kids can enjoy themselves and be involved. I have taught at Ensign for 4 going on 5 years and have loved every minute of it!

My first goal is to make each student feel like that this is the only place they want to be. My second goal is to help them to be ready to fulfill their missions. I try to make learning as fun as I can while still following the curriculum to fidelity. As far as discipline goes, I use the school-wide card pull system, and sometimes text or call parents if necessary.

I have one year of college at the U. Over ten years at Ensign, and a couple of years of teaching at the mine, as well as being a substitute teacher at the schools in Emery County.

As an educator, I always prioritize putting the gospel into each lesson. I feel it is important to create a fun and engaging learning environment for my students that will help them learn what they need to fulfill their destiny and be able to take their place in helping to build up the Kingdom of God here on Earth. I strive to make every lesson exciting and educational while providing a safe and nurturing space where my students can thrive realizing that each individual student has different perspectives and may have different needs when it comes to learning and understanding each lesson. I want my classroom to be a safe place where students know it’s okay to make a mistake as long as they learn from it and understand what they were supposed to learn from that lesson in that subject. I know that parents are the most influential and important people in their child’s education and I strive to build the parents up in their child’s heart and support them in any way I can. I always appreciate the support I receive from the parents of my students because I know that without them I can’t do my job. I love teaching at Ensign knowing that these students all have amazing futures and will change the world
